Just updating a bit. I'm at BPCC training faculty who teach courses online. I also get to teach some Telecommunications courses like Sports Broadcasting and Electronic News Gathering. 91X sounds great! Great site. Gone are the days when a DJ just might slap on an entire album side of Yes or Pink Floyd ... just because.

I moved to Australia on March 19, 2007 to get married to my love, Tye, on June 7, 2007. I now live here so if I wanna hear the station, I have to visit the website/cry. I miss the station and the music and I really miss commenting on the air about the songs and doing my 90 sec news cast (basically so nervous I could say all the news in under a minute lol). Keep up the tradition and good work. ^_^

I've spent an enjoyable hour or so reading the comments of folks I worked with! I finally gave up working in the real world -- the arthritis was just getting worse and I was getting old! Twenty years in radio is enough. Do lots of reading and sewing with occasional volunteering during fundraising for KEDM. Does anyone know where Sabyn Hackler is? Hello to all from the "good ole days".

Still flip over to 91.1 whenever I pass through Monroe. Never fails to bring back memories, good and bad. Is the key to the studio still attached to the old tape reel at the Campus Cop shop? Do the ghosts still slam the doors down the hall when you're pulling the late shift? Has Joel's hair moved yet? It's been awhile since I've heard from anyone from the old crew, so when you get a chance drop me a line. BTW, I'm still looking for anyone in touch with Cole Berry.March 20, 2007 Update: The search from Angola for fugitive Cole Berry has been successful. Capt. Karl has captured his man. Call off the dogs. --JRW

Hello all. It's been a couple of years, so I thought I would update everyone. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and is doing well in life. Like most of the folks who were around during my time at KXUL, age is creeping up on us. I'm approaching 35, have been with my wife Jeani for 14 years, have a son entering junior high next fall and another son mid-way through elementary school. I'm a VP at Chase running the deployment of call centers nationwide. Yeah, it IS as exciting as it sounds.Luckily I get to have some fun with ole Greer and our non-profit org, the Monroe Monarchs Historical Foundation. We erected a marker for the team last summer and award scholarships annually. We even assisted in getting one of the Monarchs' players elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame last year and have been asked to speak at the annual Negro League Baseball Conference in Kansas City. MUCH more fun than my day job! :-)I hear from some of you periodically, but not nearly enough! Keep in touch all! And Happy 2007!
