I remember one Saturday morning locking myself out of the studio. I had to wait outside until someone noticed and came up to see what was going on. About 50 minutes of dead air as a result. Remember to get the key from under the ash tray if you go to the restroom. The door locks itself. It was wacky.

I was showing my husband my old stomping grounds and thought I should update my posting. Well, the seemingly impossible finally happened ... I got married this past December! And ... to my former traffic reporter at WFMF in Baton Rouge! I am not doing the radio thing full-time at this point ... kind of got burned out on the whole thing and am now working on my Masters in History at SLU in Hammond. Working for Louisiana Network part-time keeps me somehwhat in the game without all the stress associated with full-time radio.

Wow, has the station changed! I remember the days when we had turntables over in Brown Hall ... then the new studio was built in Stubbs and we got CD's! Guess I am aging myself a bit, but I loved those times. Had fun with the KNLU parties at Enoch's Cafe. Funny how when I was there and we played "Alternative" music, we were considered freaks ... now you aren't "cool" if you don't listen to it. Go Figure!

So, KNLU is no more. Glad to know that once I left, the studio went all digital. So much for pulling your own CDs. NLU was a blast, but I'm glad I'm not in Louisiana anymore. Still hanging with a lot of alumni that are around Central Texas. Wonder where some of the film people are. Anyone catch the plot of "Turnabout"? Did anyone see "Turnabout"? A film written by a talented scriptwriter, Robin N., and lost in production. But I wouldn't give up those all night shoots for anything. It's all good!

My husband and I are in the process of moving to the Omaha area. I got a professorship at a nice little lib arts college. It has only 2,300 students, which will be both strange and nice after spending so long at U. of Oklahoma. I hope everyone is doing well.
