Hello you crazy KNLU/KXULers. Great to be able to listen to KXUL again. Believe it or not, I still have many fond memories of Stubbs Hall. Through my part-time job (yes, those that know me won't be surprised I still have two jobs) with the national organization DEI, I have had the good fortune to be able to work with some of the smallest public radio stations (one in rural Kentucky) to the largest (WNYC AM/FM in New York City). KXUL is still the most fun I've ever had in the business. I miss all of my good friends -- even though my sweet-baby husband & KXUL alum Brian Kanapkey keeps me company ;-). Thanks for the wall, Joel "Devil's Advocate" Willer. p.s.: When I need an answer about FCC regs, I spit on the book & call my station's lawyer.

Forget broadcasting. It will never catch on. And doing commercials? Hah! Borrrinnnng. Every stinkin' day is predictable. Accounting: now THAT'S where the real fun is at! And I just HATE my digital audio workstations; editing is such a pain without razor blades. Oh yeah, and analog is gonna live forever. HDTV sux. Ignore that Beyer digital condensor mic behind the curtain! Be sure to avoid trying to improve your voice; it'll never work. And remember, thick Southern accents and lack of acting talent are where the big bucks are. Damn, have I been doing this 25 years now??? Obviously there is no future in this business.

Great site! Found it quite by accident. I am a former KXUL News Director/announcer from back in the Molly Hatchet/Asia/Toto/Van Halen/Journey days.

Cool Website. I enjoy listening to 91X over the internet. The website looks better and better every time I check it out. I would like to say hi to all the people I worked with when I was with 91X (Jacob, Joe, Jeff, Stotts, Toby and the rest of the gang). I hope life is treating you well. Have Fun.

Was it really that long ago? Yeah, I guess it was. I sure do miss those days - and nights - I spent spinning Zappa and Nugent on the old KNLU. Scratchy vinyl and clunking turntables - yeah that was REAL radio - pure album rock day and night interrupted only occasionally by Dr. Smith's Classical Music hour. Hey anybody I worked with should get up with me!! Call or email! (foleyvideo@aol.com) Do it now dang it!
