OK, not to be a board-hog but I guess this is my 3rd posting in 6 years. I just get very nostalgic now that I've hit 40! I'm DJ'ing a lot of 80's theme parties and 20 year reunions, so I constantly feel 21 except with a little swelling- ha ha. My mobile DJ business is growing although I still work as a claims adjuster, too. Please visit my web site at www.allenentertainment.net. In my spare time, I teach 10th grade religious ed (no, seriously!), practice marital arts, raise my 2 boys and dog, obey my wife, and anything artsy-fartsy like videography, music, people-watching. The best part is that I get to make money doing my favorite hobby--DJ'ing! It's great seeing so many names I recognize on the board. Hope to run into some of you some day.

How awesome is it that I'm finding my old KNLU buddies (and yes, we are OLD). Sorry to disappoint you Rob, but I'm not working with Catholic children anymore. I'm now busy warping the minds of Catholic college students. It's the least I can do to give back to the people ... I'm on my way to Africa this summer. Believe it or not, I've been hanging with some African nuns. I haven't taken the vows (can't accept that whole celebacy thing), but I am an "honorary" sister. I'm volunteering at their orphanage in Bukoba, Tanzania just over the border from Rwanda. I hear there's a lot of kidnapping for white slavery, so if I get nabbed I'm hoping my heros will come rescue me ... (Yeah, don't worry, I'm not holding my breath). Personal life update: Divorced an ***hole (can I say ***hole on this?), no kids. Am happily single for the rest of my life. Hobbies include cycling, jogging, and eating chocolate. Where the heck is Coleslaw???

WOW! The only thing that's the same is (are) the Maroon & Gold! Even Joel's hair, to some extent! It's good to see a few familiar folks still keeping in touch through the magic of the web.

Pulled out my old demo reel, and got nostalgic for the NLU daze.My life since the last post...After some health issues, I left the high-stress, low-pay world of PEG access to take refuge in academia. The life of a college prof is a sweet, sweet life!I've added some significant tattoo coverage, gotten involved in firearms education, gone up a couple of pants sizes, and am currently contemplating how to spend my midlife crisis. I do find it a shame that I'm only allowed one, so I'm starting to plan well in advance. My 20-year high school anniversary was last month. Tres weird. I didn't go, of course, far too far to travel, but it did open the doors to nostalgia lane.Hey, anyone know the whereabouts of Stacy Walters? Collins? Fischetti?A quick Google search tracks down Stacy at Clear Channel station WCKT in Ft. Myers/Naples, Florida. --JRW

Just updating my info; here's a list of bullet points:* Just celebrated my 10 year anniversary with my beautiful wife Allison (who's standing here reading this as I type). She didn't work at 91.1, but she did hang out an awful lot.* Have two lovely daughters, two cats and a dog. We had some fish, but no more. Don't ask.* Nobody really calls me Biff anymore, but I figured nobody would know who Stuart was.* Fondest memories of 91.1: Jeff Jeff and the double-double sports-sports report-report. Convincing Mark Mohler that Depeche Mode did sound kind of jazzy and could therefore be played during the jazz show. Dancing at Enoch's with Michelle Hood, Gwen Zywicke, and Renee Yeager; there were some guys there, too, but I didn't dance with them. Locking myself in the production room with Shannon Rockett, a drum machine, two turntables and a microphone; Music Trax intro was born.Again, big shouts to all of you guys (and Cole, and Kevin Bowles, and Jeff Newman, and Eric Gill, and Tasha, and Dorie, and Brian Z, and Tom Galli, and Tom Lowe, and Shannon Rockett, and anybody else who've I've forgotten).

It sure was great to read postings from some old friends of the radio days at KNLU. I still can't believe I'm older than Fletcher. You should see him on TV in Shreveport. HA! Just kidding Tim. Reading the "Station History" reminded me of the old turntables, the two cart machines (only one worked) and the toggle switch board. Man have things changed. I still think my hearing is off because of the evening shifts when I would close the doors and crank up 38 Special and Bad Company. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Agh! I was sitting around reading all the comments and I had forgotten the boring post I submitted in 1998. Life is still good, we have three crazy kids and I went back to school for my bilingual certification. Fun stuff. I completely enjoy the station. So cool to see posts from Derwood (Darren Chisnell) and Rob and Chris Soileau and Gwen, even if some are from a while ago. Hey to all of you! Lisa, you too! How's it going, Joel? Anyone heard from Gene Gill?

Hey Fletcher ... I flunked out of NLU too! Finally escaped on the 6-year program though, then HELLO KSLA (gag) #%&@!!! First they convert Schultz Dining Hall ... then collapse Olin ... Brown Hall (1st home for KNLU) is no doubt a parking lot by now. Great to see some familiar names on the Board ... by the way Joel ... sorry about starting the Motley Crue album and locking and leaving the keys to the control room inside the control room ... Fig made me do it. There ... I've repented ... I feel better.
